Above, you may view the scans of this Fort Garry Horse Cap Badge . These cap badges were usually made of a copper/white metal bi-metal construction, though examples in brass are also found. Since there is no crown and generally no maker mark, it is usually hard to tell the wartime from post war era badges. Usually though, post war versions have a tang type attachment. Wartime badges usually have lug type attachments. This example is in excellent condition with its characteristic welded lug type attachment.
