This a another pattern of this rare type of Canadian Army Airforce cap badge of 1920's vintage. Note how the wings of this specimen are connected to the crown. A much sturdier construction than the other format. Has CAA over copper leaf. This beautiful badge, whose unique design bespeaks of the hopeful times during which it was made and used briefly before the Canadian Air Force was established, just after the end of WWI. Only used until 1922...
