Above you can see the scans for this relatively rare, large, and beautiful WWI 185th Battalion cap badge. A darkened copper o/r badge with very nice patina giving evidence to its age. This beautiful example is complete with both original lugs in good order.

Formed in 1916. This battalion was raised in Cape Breton, Nova Scotia, with headquarters in Sydney. Known as the "Cape Breton Highlanders". Sailed for England in August of 1916. A beauty for any collector of Canadian CEF badges.
