It is very clean, may have been polished by a previous owner or may have never been issued. An excellent example of a rare hundred-plus year old cap badge from the CEF. A beauty for the discerning collector of Canadian CEF badges.

Formed in 1916. This battalion was raised in Manitoba, with recruits also coming from that province. with headquarters in Winnipeg.They sailed for England in May of 1917 with a contingent of 524 officers and inlisted ranks. in England they became part of the 11th Reserve Batalion, where they served throughout the war.
