Above you can view the scans for a WWI 56th Battalion officer grade or perhaps a battalion sweetheart badge. This beautiful example is made of browning copper and included its straight pin attachment still in good usable order. The design features of this badge are still clear and distinct. This officer/sweetheart badge was cast in the form of a standard 56th Battalion collar badge.
A copper officer cap badge, with an "Inglis" hallmark, and possibly a beautiful sweetheart commemorative as well...

They shall not grow old as we that are left grow old.
Age shall not weary them, nor the years condemn.
At the going down of the sun, and in the morning
We will remember them.
