I believe the Female figure also appears on the British WWII era badge, showing the regiment's provenance. WWI era The Norfolk Regiment Cap badge - Shoulder to Shoulder Collectibles (shoulder-to-shoulder.com) This rare specimen is made of brass and comes with both original lug type fasteners in good usable order.

 

A rather uncoomon find. First raised in the 1860s as The Norfolk Rifles, to combat the increasing attacks by the "Fenians" from south of the border. Its regimental headquarters was at Simcoe and had companies at Simcoe, Villa Nova, Port Rowan, Walsingham (Pleasant Hill) and Waterford, Ontario. On 22 December 1915, the 133rd Battalion (Norfolk's Own), CEF estblished. They embarked for Great Britain. and after its arrival in the UK, on 12 November 1916, the battalions personnel were absorbed by the 23rd Reserve Battalion CEF to provide reinforcements for the Canadian Corps in the field. On the 17th of July 1917, the 133rd Battalion, CEF was disbanded. The regiment was converted to a Line Regiment in 1928. In 1936, the regiment was changed from infantry to artillery to become part of the 56th Field Artillery Regiment, RCA and went on to fight in WWII.
