You are about to view the scans of a rare CEF No.1 Canadian Construction Battalion cap badge. This beautiful badge is made of heavy brass, a genuine item from WWI, with real nice age patina. Both lugs original and in good order. However this badge is "holy". someone drilled a hole in the badge most likely an attempt at displaying it. I have seen others like this so someone had a collection and may have drilled holes in them for mounting purposes.
The No.1 Construction Battalion, was responsible for tunneling, trench construction, roadways, train tracks and general building and site
maintenance, on the battlefield, in WWI.
