You are viewing a WWI era wound stripe issued for wounds received in active service. It is a veteran's badge, was usually worn on the lower left arm of the service tunic. It is a straight brass bar with two lugs, one at each end, for attachment purposes. The backing id made of brass and all in good order, please view the scans. These badges were proudly worn by service personnel who had returned from the war in order to show that they had served with distinction at the front. Somewhat hard to find.
