Above are the scans for this CEF 173rd Battalion cap badge. This beautiful badge is complete with both original lugs in good order. Has an unreadable hallmark "Geo...ees" on the top left leaf point. A browning copper o/r badge with very nice patina giving evidence to its age. A beauty for any collector of Canadian CEF badges.

Formed in 1916. This battalion was raised in Hamilton, Ontario, with headquarters in Hamilton. Sailed for England in November of 1916. They became part of the 2nd Reserve Battalion.
