Above you may view the scans for this rare CEF 14th Battalion Cap badge. WWI era. Formed in 1914. This battalion was raised from the Royal Montreal Regiment, with headquarters in Val Cartier Quebec. Sailed for England in October of 1914 served in France and Belgium as part of the 3rd Infantry Brigade, 1st Canadian Division. Served under command of one Lt. Colonel F.J. Meighen. This fine example is complete with both lugs. An o/r clean brass badge maker-marked JR Gaunt , London. A beauty for any collector of Canadian CEF badges.
