You are viewing a vintage cap badge for the Quebec Provincial Police (Surete du Quebec). This crownless version badge probably dates from the 1990's It still has its two spinner type attachments in place and in good order. The badge itself is in excellent condition, made of brass with a plastic overlay, this specimen still has its fine details well preserved. No dents or scatches. Unlike the older badges, there is no crown or Quebec Coat of arms, and the provincial motto, "Je me souviens" (translates as "I remember my heritage") is nowhere to be found. This badge was used during the tumultuous years of the Quebec independence movement.
