What a find! You are vieiwing the scans of our recently located WWI era Imperial German Kriegmarine Medical officer's sword from the Battle of Jutlan era. 1915. There are many features to note on this magnificent specimen. Not the least of which is the wired ivory grip, the clean blade and scabbord, the navel medical Willhelm II crown and scaducus enscribed on the hilt. But most of all is the ruby eye and emerald eye on each side of the lionhead pummel, noting the Port and Starbord reference to the navy shipping.
