You are viewing a WWI era "Canadian Army Service Corps" cap badge. It is a later type and may be from the post war period. Note that the corps name had not yet received its "Royal" designation when this badge was produced. Charlton's book does not show this type as being from WWI. You may know better. Made of brass with both original lugs intact. Well preserved design features make this badge an excellent example.

The Service Corps was tasked with keeping the troops supplied with everything from toilet paper to transport vehicles, and everything in between.
