You are viewing an excellent specimen of the WW2 Irish Regiment of Canada Cap Badge. Both lugs intact on this fine bi-metal badge. This badge is 4 cm top to bottom.


The Irish regiment was originally founded in 1915 with headquarters in Toronto. Battle honors include in the The Great War: Arras 1917 '18, Hill 70, Ypres 1917, Amiens, Scarpe 1918, Drocourt-Quant, Hindenburg Line, Canal du Nord, Pursuit to Mons, France and Flanders 1917-18. In the Second World War: Liri Valley, Melfa Crossing, Gothic Line, Montecchio, Coriano, Lamone Crossing, Fosso Munio, Conventello-Comacchio, Italy 1943-1945, Jsselmeer, Delfzijl Pocket, North-West Europe 1945. The modern incarnation was formed in Sudbury in 1965 by the conversion of the 58th Field Regiment RCA.
