Above are the scans for a WWI 63rd Battalion cap badge. (made of copper). This fine example is is still in excellent condition with both original lugs, horizontally mounted. Excellently fine details in this badge design. A beauty for any collector of Canadian CEF badges. The 63rd went over the pond in 1915. Upon arrival in Britain it became part of the 9th Reserve battalion of the CEF. An interesting fact about this battalion is that it was one of the early contributors to the famous history of the "Loyal Edmonton Regiment" ("Loyal Eddies")which has perpetuated its valiant regimental history to this day. A fine piece of true Canadian heritage.
