Another interesting discovery. It is a special button, patented, and made into a pendant. It opens up like a locket, and small items like compasses were kept inside for emergency use. These are often talked about but rarely seen. In this particular one, is dated ... June 29, 1915, and has a hallmark which appears to be "M2". Indeed a rare find in WWI buttons.
