You are viewing a WWI Empire Service League issued by the Canadian Legion. It is a veteran's badge. Straight pin style backing intact and functional, enameling is excellent, please view the scans. The badge is about 3/4 of an inch in across. Note the hallmark on the back "Lamond - Montreal". These badges were issued to service personnel who had returned from the war in order to show that they had served so the soldier would not be insulted and abused in public. Interesting times!!
