You are viewing a WW1 CEF 224th Battalion cap badge. This beauty is a voided badge, and is complete with both original lugs intact and in good order. A clean brass device with nice age patina.

Formed in 1914. This battalion was raised in Eastern Ontario, with headquarters in Ottawa, Ontario. Sailed for England in May of 1917. Known as the Canadian Forestry Battalion, they became part of the Canadian Forestry Corps.
