The scan contains a vintage RAF king's crown Cap badge, of WW2 vintage. Nice example of an enlisted ranks brass badge with both original lugs intact. The Royal Air Force developed from RFC (Royal Flying Corps) of WWI. Its real fame came from the 1940's Battle of Britain. Churchill said of these brave flyers, "Never has so much been owed by so many to so few!" Using mostly Hurricanes and Spitfire fighters, these gallant heroes fought off the entire Luftwaffe (German Air Force) so effectively that eventually the Germans were forced to turn to unmanned projectiles; the rather inaccurate V-1 and the first viable rocket called the V-2.

Guaranteed 100% genuine.
