You are viewing a vintage CEF WWI era 128th Battalion Cap badge. Made of copper, with all both original horizontal lugs intact and in good order. This is a high quality design, made with the stamping method, with no chips or dents. Note the"Moose Jaw"motif which appears underneath the 128th number.The obverse shows a minor degree of oxidation (green color) giving evidence of its age.

This battalion was formed in Saskatchewan, with headquarters in Moose Jaw, during the winter of 1915.The 1020 man contingent sailed for England on August 15th 1916. Upon arrival they became part of the 15th and 19th Reserve Battalions, supplying reinforcements to other battalions fighting in France.
