You are viewing a vintage WW2 collar badge set. Appears to be silver plated which may indicate an officer grade set for the Canadian Women's Army Corps ( CWAC ). Made of brass wth a silver over-plating, with all welded stem lug attachments, original and in good order. Hallmarked "Skully".
Some History: The corps was authorized in 1941, to help in the various non-combatant functions of the army, and to free up men for active duty in the field. This corps was populated by courageous Canadian women who volunteered to work in various military fields, such as transport, office and secretarial, medical, aircraft observation and maintenance, even in the artillery and ordinance divisions. Most served in Canada but some units, especially nursing, were sent overseas and served in Italy, Northwest Europe, and Great Britain...
